JUNE 10, 2025 - Demolition of 36 Church Street

Over the past few weeks, we have been working closely with city officials, professional demolition contractors and our neighbors to carefully plan the demolition of the home of the Paul William Beltz law firm for close to 50 years.

The demolition process, starting with staging and localization around the site, is now underway and will continue over the coming weeks. We expect street closures to be necessary at varying times during this process. Special attention is being taken to protect adjacent buildings, minimize disruption to the public to the extent possible, and preserve our shared community.

We are grateful for the City of Buffalo, the fighters and first responders, our dedicated PWB Team and clients, the support of our friends and neighbors, and our partners National Fire Adjustment Co, Inc., ServiceMaster Restore, 34 Group, Inc., Wargo Enterprises, Inc., Walsh Duffield Cos, Inc., Azar Engineering, Hunt Real Estate Corporation, and Dezenhall Resources, Ltd. helping us through this process.

We appreciate the community’s ongoing support and patience, as well as the consideration of the bench and our colleagues in the legal community. We look forward to continuing to serve Western New York for many years to come.

MAY 5, 2025 - STATEMENT REGARDING FIRE AT PAUL WILLIAM BELTZ OFFICE

We are grateful for the outpouring of support following the fire at our 36 Church Street office. Thanks to the dedicated first responders with the Buffalo Fire and Police Departments, everyone remained safe, and we are now focused on moving forward.

The Buffalo Fire Department investigation into the fire has concluded and officials have determined the cause was accidental. Between the fire itself and necessary work to extinguish it, the building Paul William Beltz has called home since 1968, must be demolished.

Buffalo will always be home for Paul William Beltz. We are proud to represent and support our clients and are grateful for the trust they place in us. Our lifelong work of representing injured persons in this amazing community will continue.
