Bricklayer Injured in Fall Receives Settlement of $2.4 Million
The plaintiff was employed as a bricklayer at a project on the UB North Campus when he fell 30 feet. He sustained leg, hip, back, jaw, and teeth injuries.

The original verdict for $1.9 million was set aside by the trial court as "excessive" but the finding of liability was sustained. Between the time of the first and second trial, the plaintiff's medical condition continued to worsen and the defendant agreed to pay a cash settlement of $2.4 million.
